Year 2 and the Great Space Seed Investigation

Lesson: Science

Class: Year 2 Year: 2015 - 2016

Last week we took delivery of a very exciting parcel...seeds that have been into space as part of Tim Peake's mission!

Having spent some time on board the International Space Station the seeds have now returned to earth and will be part of an exciting investigation completed by a number of lucky schools across the country this half term.

Each school has been sent 2 packets of rocket seeds. One spent time in space, the other didn't. After planting and watering, Year 2 will be keeping tabs on their progress and will have to decide which pack we think spent time on the ISS.

We will be recording data such as how many are growing each day and the length of these.

This is such a priviledge to be taking part in and also links in nicely with our current science topic of plants.

We will keep you updated on the progress and look out for our experiment 'lab' and speciment trays in the reading area!
